About 200 people attend memorial service at Shoreline Community College
Nearly 200 friends and family members of Kelsey Rose Lippincott, remembered the teen as a leader with attitude, who lifted people up when they were feeling down. Dozens of people shared their memories of the 17-year-old in a memorial service, Saturday morning at Shoreline Community College's theater. A slideshow montage of photos played to music at the end of the service. Lippincott died April 28 after falling onto the southbound lanes of I-5 from the express lane sign on the 145th St. overpass in Shoreline. The State Patrol is still investigating the incident. Burris struggled with addiction and the law, but "smiled all the time," and was a father to three young children.
Friends of Justin Burris Sr. have identified him as the man who died when the motorcycle he was riding crashed in North City on Friday, Aug. 12. Burris, 26, grew up in Bothell and attended Bothell High School. He had three children: Faith, 4, Chelsea, 2, and Justin Jr., who will turn 1 soon. His memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at Woodin Valley Baptist Church, 5400 228th St. S.E. in Woodinville, 98021, according to a note left by his mother Bonnie Lee Burris, at the accident scene. A candlelight vigil was held for him Sunday, Agu. 14 at the intersection of 175th Street and 15th Avemue Northeast where he died. Rick Kaminski was a King's and Shoreline Community College student.
After hurling peanuts with outstanding accuracy since the Mariners' inception in 1977, beloved Seattle sports fixture Rick Kaminski has died at the age of 67 after a brain aneurysm. Affectionately referred to as "The Peanut Man," Kaminski was known for not only his amazing tossing abilities, but for his sense of humor as well. "His speed and accuracy with a bag of peanuts was matched by his quick wit and smile. He always seemed happy to see you, even if he was meeting you for the first time," said Mariners President Chuck Armstrong in a statement. "Rick loved what he did and the fans loved him for it."
