The Dale Turner Family YMCA, named for the long-time pastor of University Congregational United Church of Christ in Seattle who passed away in 2006, opened in Oct. 2008. The mission of the YMCA is to help develop youth and assist all members in their journey to healthy living no matter where they are on the path to that goal. Social responsibility is also an important mission of the YMCA. The spacious 52,000-square-foot facility features a two-level parking garage, a gym, a four-lane, 25-yard pool, men's and women's locker rooms, an upstairs weight and fitness area with treadmills, exercise bikes and ellipticals, and rooms for cycling training, yoga, aerobics, martial arts and more.
