Time, Talent and Tools, Adding to Economic Recovery

Trading time, talent, tools or products without the use of money is catching on and building community.

Do you need help with landscaping? Do you have a skill to offer others? How about extra tools to lend? Has your garden produced more zucchini than your family is willing to eat?

Using Time as a means of exchange and sharing talent and tools is gaining popularity in neighborhoods around the region and adding to the economy. CleanScapes, the local waste management company serving Shoreline and parts of Seattle reported in their June 27th "weekly tips" on a variety of programs available to meet many different needs.

The list includes the nations first "Food Forest" a seven acre plot in Beacon Hill "that will be planted with hundreds of different kinds of edibles from pears to herbs that are all free for the public taking."
