QUICK START BUSINESS CLASSES
Quick Start Business Workshop and local chambers are a resource for business owners interested in becoming more effective.
Going "green" is more than saving energy, saving money and reducing waste or toxins. It also means building efficiencies into every day operations. This can include finding ways to accomplish tasks more quickly and effectively.
The Quick Start Shoreline Business Workshop is a great resource for incorporating proven ideas into your day-to-day operations.
The classes are free, open to the public and held in the City of Shoreline Council Chambers every Tuesday from noon to 1:30 pm.

Mark McVeety from Shoreline Community College (pictured) lines up the speakers on a wide variety of topics from accounting how to, to multimedia marketing. The topic for Tuesday August 28th is "Introduce your business to a wider audience through video. How to tell your story and look great on camera" by Adelaide Zein.
Your local chamber of commerce organizations are also good resources for both networking and learning new skills. Most chambers have a speaker series on topics that business owners benefit from understanding.

For example the Seattle Chamber of Commercebreakfast meeting August 28th topic is "Pinterest." In September they will be examining such topics as high skill immigration, emissions control and an export seminar. The Shoreline Chamber of Commerce is having a candidate forum in September at Shoreline Community College. In October Andrew Ballard from Marketing Solutions will talk about how businesses can use the holidays to grow their business. (not easy when everyone else is trying to do the same thing)
