The "Evolucient Plastic to Oil System" is worth stopping in to see several times during the day to watch a transformation. For the energy cost equivalent of .25 cents per gallon the Evolucent product line converts waste plastic into oil which can be refined into useable diesel, gasoline and kerosene or used as is in a variety of ways.

There will be a desk-top size unit available for viewing at NW SolarFest that converts 2-3 lbs of waste plastic into approximately 1/3 of a gallon. "The Blest Company which manufactures the equipment is based in Japan where more than sixty commercial sites currently use this technology." Large commercial grade units can convert from eleven pounds to 220 lbs per hour generating more than 648 gallons of oil per day.

"The systems can run off of any electrical power source including solar. All systems have off-gas filtering which captres an decomposes harmful gasses so emissions are only a small amount of Co2 and water."

In addition to this and many other interesting exhibits there will be something for every age.
