Northwest Solar Summit - Charting a Path to Energy Sustainability

Washington Sunrise 2030, mapping the state's path to energy freedom will be presented at the 13th Northwest Solar Summit, Nov. 7-8, 2011, hosted at the Puget Sound Energy Auditorium, in Bellevue, Washington. Architects, city planners, builders and related trades and homeowners interested in alternative energy will benefit from attending.

"The focus will be Washington Sunrise 2030, a groundbreaking aggregation of studies that comes to an astonishing conclusion: statewide carbon neutrality is within our grasp. Until now, no one has put together the puzzle of existing studies and projections by government agencies, utilities and industry to see the big picture."

U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, author of "Apollo's Fire" is the invited keynote speaker. 

Included will be panel discussions with individuals who work on community, commercial and residential solar energy systems and a separate panel on electrification of transport. Utility Managers, Architects, and urban planners are among the invited speakers.

Day 2 of the conference will set an action agenda for the state with real-world goals to move our communities, governments, utilities and ourselves toward a fully renewable energy base in both the built environment and transportation.
