The 4th of July Nearby: An Edmonds Kind of 4th, Fireworks at Logboom Park and Lake Union

Shoreline and LFP ban fireworks and have no official events, so check out neighboring Seattle, Edmonds and Kenmore

The Hazel Miller Foundation Presents An Edmonds Kind of Fourth Celebration.

American Legion Edmonds Post 66 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Edmonds Post 8870, is hosting a 4th of July barbecue/picnic at Shelter No. 2 of City Park on Third Avenue South. 

The city of Kenmore will also be putting on a fireworks show at 10 p.m. at Logboom Park.

If you care to venture into Seattle, the gates open at noon Wednesday at Gas Works Park for the Family Fourth at Lake Union. Food-bank donations are suggested and some area streets will be closed—parking is extremely limited. Food, entertainment, a beer garden, activities, beer garden, live music, precede the fireworks at 10 p.m. (family4th.org).

The Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival is also July 4, and features boat rides, vessel displays, activities, beer garden, food vendors. The gates open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and entertainment starts at 3 p.m. The venue is the Center for Wooden Boats, 1010 Valley St., Seattle and surrounding Lake Union Park. Shuttles are available throughout the day between Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park.
