This Week in High School Football, Shoreline Edition

Rotary Cup game features rivals Shorecrest and Shorewood while King's tries to go 4-0 against Cedarcrest

Breakdown: The features two teams that are 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the WesCo 3A conference. Both teams have won a close game and been beaten handily in the other. Shorecrest, whose win came in a week two 26-21 victory over Mountlake Terrace, is coming off a 54-22 loss to Glacier Peak last week in which the Scots gave up 51 points before halftime and gave up 227 yards through the air. Shorewood is coming off a 56-33 road loss to Oak Harbor. The T-Birds actually kept the game relatively close throughout, with quarterback Aaron Miller throwing three touchdown passes. Running back Eugene Holley ran for three touchdowns in a week two win over Lynnwood, and should create problems for the Scots.

When: 7 pm

Breakdown: King’s is off to another hot start, beginning the season 3-0 with three lopsided wins. The Knights beat Sultan 42-13 last week, with quarterback Billy Green continuing his impressive debut season with three more touchdown passes. Green has thrown for 11 TD’s on the season with no interceptions, while completing over 71 percent of his passes. Trevor Hanson is coming off an 84-yard, two touchdown-game against Sultan. Cedarcrest started the season against two 2A/3A Seamount teams, splitting matchups with Renton and Hazen. Cedarcrest fell last week, 59-26, to Archbishop Murphy.
