Shorewood Volleyball Scores Big Upset Win

The Shorewood volleyball team beat Oak Harbor in four sets on Tuesday to move to 4-4 on the season, 3-3 in the WesCo 3A.

The Shorewood volleyball notched its biggest win of the season on Tuesday night, downing Oak Harbor in four sets.

The win, 21-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19, moved Shorewood's WesCo 3A record to 3-3 on the season, 4-4 overall and handed Oak Harbor its first conference loss of the season.

Shorewood was lead by Molly Whipple with 18 kills and 22 digs. Monica Postor chipped in with 16 kills, 4 service aces & 19 digs and Madison Welsh tallied 15 kills & 8 digs. Marianne Kellogg had 37 assists and Dana Brindle had 22 digs.

Oak Harbor had been listed as "on the bubble" in the most recent Seattle Times top-10 state poll adn was undefeated in WesCo play heading in the match.
