Shoreline Pool Closed for at Least a Week Beginning Saturday
The boiler failed at the pool and must be replaced before the pool can be reopened, the city says.
The Shoreline Pool will be closed beginning Saturday, May 11 for a minimum of one week due to a boiler failure, the city of Shoreline said Friday.
The 42-year-old pool has received a high level of maintenance over the years to meet the needs of hundreds of thousands of swimmers who have enjoyed the pool since its opening in 1971.
"At long last the boiler finally got tired," city staff said in a news release. "We are working to secure a new energy efficient boiler as quickly as possible and get it installed, but the closure of at least a week is needed to do the work and get the water reheated for your swimming enjoyment."
