Shorecrest Girls Beat Kamiakin, Guaranteed First State Trophy

Scots win 59-48 over Braves, will play Seattle Prep for fourth place Saturday

The Shorecrest girls basketball team cruised past Kamiakin 59-48 Friday afternoon to earn a Saturday morning matchup with Seattle Prep for fourth place in the girls 3A State Basketball Tournament.

Guard Brianne Lasconia led Shorecrest with 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Janie Uppinghouse added 15 points in the win.

Shorecrest outscored Kamiakin in every quarter en route to the win.

The Scots play Seattle Prep at 9:30 a.m. at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.
