The SeaWolves play in the Premier Development League, the highest level of amateur soccer in the United States.

“The PDL is the best place for young players to showcase for Major League Soccer and other leagues,” SeaWolves owner/coach Alex Silva said. “We would like to find talented players and develop them to get to the next level.”

In 2011 the expansion SeaWolves went 4-6-4 and finished sixth in the Northwest Division of the PDL. In a tryout last March, the club had 140 potential players turn out and Silva hopes for a similar pool of players this year.

“I would like to see players who are hungry for the game, who have a goal, work well with teammates,” Silva said. “We want to create a great environment where players want to play.”
