North King County Little League Jamboree a Hit

Event features parade, dunk tank, games, food and fun

More than 700 people crowded into for the annual North King County Little League Jamboree to celebrate the 2011 season.

Master of Ceremonies and league president Danaan Bohag introduced the teams and players as they paraded onto the the field; the American flag was raised; the Star-Spangled Banner was sung by a student; the Little League pledge was recited by one of the players; Shoreline City Councilman Will Hall spoke and the first pitch was thrown out by another player.

A wreath of flowers was displayed to honor Little Leaguers who died before their 18th birthday including of Shoreline who died earlier this year at the age of 10 of accidential asphysxiation.

Later, a dunk tank allowed ballplayers to take aim at dousing their coaches, food was served at the concession stand, fielding and hitting stations gave players the opportunities to take cuts and practice glovework. The Challenger division of the league for players with special needs also played a featured game.
