SEATTLE – Will Snider hit six goals as Nathan Hale cruised to its first boys high school lacrosse win of the season with a 15 – 5 victory over Shoreline, Thursday at Seattle’s Summit Fields.
The win was the first for first-year Hale coach, three-time NCAA All-American and Washington State Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee Kris Snider.
Hale came out of the gates early scoring three in the first and added four in the second to take a comfortable 7 – 1 lead into the half. The Raiders netted another three in the third and finished the game with five final-quarter goals to insure the win.
Riley Johnson contributed to the win with three goals and 12 ground balls and goaltender Andrew McCall had five saves.
For Shoreline, playing in their inaugural season, Shorecrest High School’s Ethan Jenson and Alex Hofstrand had two goals each while Payten Brooks-Neal had nine saves in the nets.
Nathan Hale (1-1-0) next faces Blanchet (2-0-0), Saturday, March 17 in a 3 p.m. start at Blanchet High School. Shoreline (0-1-0) next faces Roosevelt (0-1-0) Tuesday, March 20 in a 7 p.m. start at Shorecrest High School.
