Ten Shoreline Students Receive College Scholarships
Recipients were recognized for community involvement and academic performance
Ten Shoreline high school seniors received scholarships in recognition of academic achievement and community involvement through the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce’s Dollars for Scholars Program.
Students were judged on criteria such as academic standing, extracurricular activities, volunteer hours and recommendations from staff.
Over the past eight years, the Dollars for Scholars program has given Shoreline students more than 100 scholarships, which can be used at any college.

Among the donors to this year’s scholarship pool were Carter Subaru, which donated $5,000, Jerilee Mann of CarePlus, who dnated $1,000, Shoreline City Councilmember Chris Eggen and his wife Donna, who donated $750, and Dan Mann of Tropical Tan, who donated $500.
Students received their scholarships at Shoreline Community College, where faculty and community members, including President Lee Lambert and Shoreline School District Superintendent Sue Walker, spoke to students.
