Shorewood Girls Swim Team Named 3A Academic State Champions

The 41 T-Birds, coached by Susie McDowell and Jeremy Hunter, have a combined 3.797 grade point average.

The Shorewood girls swimming team has been selected as an Academic State Champion for the fall sports season.

The T-Birds are coached by Susie McDowell and Jeremy Hunter. The 41 girls on the Shorewood team have a combined 3.797 grade point average. 

The Scholastic Awards Program, sponsored by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, Dairy Farmers of Washington, and Les Schwab Tires, recognizes the team with the highest grade point average among all Washington high schools in their enrollment classification. Shorewood is classified as a 3A school.

The winning teams will be presented with a special plaque at the upcoming WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires State Championships. A complete list of the winning teams can be found here.

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association exists to assist member schools in operating student programs that foster achievement, respect, equity, enthusiasm and excellence in a safe and organized environment.

41 swimmers with a combined GPA of 3.797 - that is very impressive. You've worked hard and it shows! Congratulations and thanks to the Scholastic Awards Program for helping us notice your achievement.
