Shorewood Boys And Girls Doubles Teams Place At State

Francesca O' Malley and Daniella Brengelmann placed 7th at state; Hunter Nelson and Miles Jamieson, placed 8th at state

The Shorewood boys and girls doubles tennis teams battled tough opponents at the WIAA state tennis tournament and came home with medals. The team of Francesca O' Malley and Daniella Brengelmann placed 7th at state. They played a team they had defeated for the District 1 championship, Nicole Bouche and Gillian Braden- Armstrong from Mountlake Terrace, and lost a tough match to them. The Mountlake Terrace team placed 4th at state.

The Shorewood boys team, Hunter Nelson and Miles Jamieson, placed 8th at state with a close loss to Mercer Island 5-7, 6-7 ( 7-5 ). The boys team came back after a first round loss to another Mercer Island team to defeat Wilson High school and Eastmont high school.
