Shoreline School Board Voting Tonight on Shorecrest iPad Program

Total cost to implement iPads: $745,488

The Shoreline School Board will decide at its 7 p.m. meeting tonight whether it will vote to approve an iPad program for Shorecrest High School for the 2012-13 school year.

Tonight's agenda includes many other items, but the iPad vote is expected to be one of the highlights of the meeting.

Students at Shorewood High School were given iPads at the start of this school year. The program has had its ups and downs--difficulty typing on the keypad and theft have been problems--but overall the district believes it's been a success.
