Shoreline Community College will be hosting its 4th straight “Homecoming” event at the SCC Gym on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. with a reception of “Cake and Punch” for alumni and SCC faculty, staff and current students to mingle and talk.
The Shoreline Community College Foundation Office and SCC Athletic Department are co-hosts for the event and two SCC basketball games will surround the reception.
The Lady Dolphin Basketball team will play at 5:30 p.m. before the reception and the SCC Men’s Basketball team starts a game at 7:30 p.m. as the reception ends.
The SCC teams will be playing rival North Seattle Community College. SCC will be honoring its Green, Gold and Dolphin Academic Clubs for athletic department and SCC will honor the 2011 NWAACC Northern Region Championship Volleyball Team as well.
There will also be a student shooting contest for a $250 scholarship.
SCC faculty members, Ernest Johnson and Elizabeth Hansen will serve as honorary coaches for the SCC basketball teams. Admission for SCC Alumni will be $1 to the games. SCC Faculty and Staff pay $3.
