School Board Approves Bid to Build New Shorewood High
Bayley Construction, with offices in Mercer Island, was low bidder
The Shoreline School Board voted unamimously Monday night, Oct. 3, to award the bid to build the new Shorewood High School to Bayley Construction, which has its Washington offices in Mercer Island.
The $55.5 million general construction contract was recommended to the Board and Shoreline School District by the architect on the project Bassetti Architects of Seattle.
Bayley will break ground on the project Monday, Oct. 17 in a ceremony on the Shorewood campus.

Bayley's other school projects locally include Kentwood High School, Seattle University School of Law and Bagley Labs at the University of Washington.
The general contractor also did earthquake safety upgrades at College Place Middle School and Spruce, Lynnwood and Brier elementary schools in the Edmonds School District.
