Just Garden Project at Fircrest School
The Just Garden Project together with Lowes, Sky Nursery, City U SIFE program and Microsoft Volunteers will be participating in the United Way Day of Caring by building 4 raised garden beds and rain catchment systems for residents at Fircrest School.
We are very excited to be the recipients of this grant and our plan is to start an organic gardening program, donating part of our produce to Hopelink to distribute to other Shoreline residents in need.
Gardening is a great community builder and meaningful activity for our residents. Everyone who wants to can particiapte on a level that they are capable or doing.

We are lucky that being in the Pacific Northwest we can garden all year round and will be starting our beds with winter growing greens, snap peas, cauliflower, broccoli and garlic.
