Boys Hoops: Shorecrest Beats Kamiak, Shorewood Loses to Mariner

Scots start 2-0 thanks to strong fourth quarter

The Shorecrest boys basketball outscored Kamiak 27-19 in the fourth quarter Friday night to earn a 81-73 non-league home win over the Class 4A Knights.

The 3A Scots improved to 2-0 behind 23 points from Alex Horning and 21 points from Oishi Conin. Imaan Vincente scored 22 points to lead Kamiak.

Class 3A Shorewood fell to 1-1 in non-league games after a 42-40 home loss to the Class 4A Mariner Marauders.

Bayek Tutlam scored 18 points and Kiante Ahmad-Woods added seven to lead Mariner.

Zane Hopen scored 13 points and Taylor Freeman added 11 to lead Shorewood.Β

Shorewood forward Josh Hawkinson did not play in the game.
