Shorewood senior forward Josh Hawkinson missed the T-birds' last two non-league games but he didn't miss Friday night's home game against crosstown rival Shorecrest.
The Washington State-bound Hawkinson scored 24 points and blocked seven shots to lead the T-birds to a 45-39 victory at Shorewood High School.
Coach Ben Scheffler declined to say why Hawkinson did not play the previous two games, but said it wasn't anything serious.
Clearly, the T-birds got back on track having him in the lineup.
Shorewood improved to 2-2 on the year and handed the Scots their first loss as they dropped to 3-1.
Ben Andrews added eight points and Zane Hopen five for the T-birds.
Sam Franks led Shorecrest with 12 points while Conin Oishi added seven and Alex Horning chipped in with six.
