Welcome ‘Send-off’ Planned for DelBene, 46th District Legislators

The public is invited to an open house Friday evening in Kenmore to meet their representatives before they head off for their 2013 sessions.

U.S.  Rep. Suzan DelBene and state legislators from the 46th Legislative District will be on hand Friday evening in Kenmore to meet with constituents before they start their upcoming sessions.

Joining DelBene will be Sen. David Frockt, Rep. Gerry Pollet and Rep.-elect Jessyn Farrell.

The event is Friday, Jan. 11, 5:30-7 p.m., at Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave N.E.

Welcoming remarks begin at 6 p.m. with a brief presentation by each official to discuss their goals and what they hope to accomplish during the upcoming session. Light refreshments will be served.

“We look forward to working closely with each elected official and wish them the best with the upcoming session,” said Kenmore Mayor David Baker.

Kenmore and Lake Forest Park moved from the 32nd District to the 46th District under redistricting.

The 1st Congressional District also was reshaped, and DelBene was elected for both the one-month term last year to fill now Gov. –elect Jay Inslee’s seat, as well as for the new term in the new district. Shoreline and Lake Forest Park are no longer in the 1st Congressional District and are now in the 7th District.
