Victim Carjacked at Gunpoint in the Parking Lot of Goldies Casino

The following blotter items range from August 30, 2012 – September 4, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

On Sept. 4, a person was carjacked at gunpoint and robbed in the parking lot of Goldies Casino (15030 Aurora Ave N), later molested and forced to drive a car into Seattle.

August 30

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Someone stole a grandmother’s oxycontin from her bedroom in the 700 block of N. 188th St.

September 1

SHOPLIFTING: A shoplifter with two warrants used his child’s stroller to conceal groceries at Central Market, 15505 Westminster Way.

September 2

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Sometime overnight, unknown suspect(s) broke into the Shoreline Free Methodist Church, 510 N.E. 175th St., by forcing open a door with a crowbar and stole microphones, stamps and at least one guitar.

CHILD NEGLECT: Someone left a baby in a vehicle in the Costco parking lot, 1335 N. 205th St.

September 3

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: An unknown suspect made a forced entry through a locked basement door of Ronald United Methodist Church, 17839 Aurora Ave. N., and broke into a locked sewing room.

LOST PERSON: An elderly man suffering from severe dementia who does not speak English was found wandering the neighborhood near the 300 block of N.E. 156th St. He was transported home and his daughter and grandson were told again they had to lock doors and watch him.

THREATS: The suspect called the victim and told her if all of his items were outside of storage he would kill her. The victim was in fear for her life based on the suspect’s past behavior. The suspect was taken into custody in the 2500 block of N.E. 195th St. and booked.

September 4

BURGLARY: A suspect entered a garage possibly left open overnight in the 1400 block of N. 200th St. and stole numerous tools and sporting goods, carrying off items in garbage cans.

SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION: A detective was assigned to monitor a Level 2 sex offender in the 1200 block of N. 172nd St. who is registered for Rape of a Child 1 and Indecent Liberties. He was convicted in Kitsap County in 2001 and 2006. Community notification is pending.

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone broke a rear window of a vehicle in a carport in the 700 block of N. 165th St. and stole a computer bag.

ASSAULT: A suspect assaulted a male victim with hands and fists in front of deputies in the 18800 block of 15th Ave. N.E.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE: A verbal argument between a mom and son, and grandmother in the 19300 block of 22nd Ave. N.W. turned physical. The son and grandmother defended themselves striking the mother inadvertently.

AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a gray 1990 Honda Civic from the front of the victim’s house in the 17200 block of 11th Ave. N.E.
