Update: Unbeaten Shorewood Boys Soccer Team Gets 2-1 Playoff Win Over Chief Sealth
T-birds to face Bainbridge at 12 p.m. Saturday at Shoreline Stadium
The Shorewood boys soccer team continued its postseason march with a 2-1 victory over Chief Sealth at Shoreline Stadium Wednesday night in a first round state 3A playoff game.
The No. 1-ranked Thunderbirds improved to 20-0 and will play for a quarterfinal matchup against fifth-ranked Bainbridge Saturday at Shoreline Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, which the Seahawks (14-3-1) matched up well with the T-birds, Shorewood continued to chip away and gained an edge in the second half.
Senior Hayk Avanesyan, the T-birds' most skilled player, broke the ice with a goal in the 49th minute.

Eugene Holley added a second goal in the 73rd minute for Shorewood.
Chief Sealth's Mori Tsuchiya scored in the 75th minute to make it interesting, but Shorewood's defense reliable defense hung on and the T-birds advanced.
