Shoreline Police Blotter: Hundreds of Dollars of Liquor Stolen from Safeway on Aurora

The following blotter items range from Aug. 8, 2012 - August 14, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction

August 8

JEWELRY MISSING: Residents of a home in the 18000 block of 17th Ave. N.W. reported that about $24,000 worth jewelry went missing between December and March. They were only making a police report at the behest of their insurance company. 

August 10

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone entered a car in the 900 block of N. 199th St. and took items.

August 13

BURGLARY: Unknown suspects broke into an apartment at the Forest Hills Estates, 1300 block of N. 175th St., and damaged a door and wall and stole items.

LEAF BLOWER STOLEN: A man and his crew were working for the Yard Butlers at a residence in the 500 block of N. 200th St. and left an orange backpack-style leaf blower unattended in the street for a few mintues while they were worked elsewhere and someone apparently took it.

ASSAULT: A young woman's boyfriend grabbed her by the neck causing abrasions and scratches and pushed her forehead into the wall causing a bruise at Paramount House, in the 1700 block of N.E. 145th St. 

VANDALISM: Someone etched the business window at Ballinger Realty, 20324 19th Ave. N.E., with some writing. If the large commercial windows need to be replaced the cost will be substantial.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Someone used locksmith's tools to break into a storage unit at Public Storage, 20065 15th Ave. N.E. 

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) forced their way through a locked front door of a home in the 18200 block of Fremont Ave. N.

SUICIDAL COMMENTS ON FACEBOOK: A youth who lives in the Echo Lake Apartments, 19200 block of Aurora Ave. N., made suicidal statements on Facebook. 

THEFT: Someone stole from an employee locker at Big Lots, 15403 Westminster Way.

August 14

VANDALISM: Unknown suspects smashed windows and stabbed tires of a truck parked outside a home in the 15800 block of 27th Ave. N.E.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a locked house in the 300 block of N.E. 158th St. possibly with the use of a not so hidden key.

BURGLARY: Someone took a guitar and bottle of rum from a home in the 19100 block of 15th Ave. N.W.

SHOPLIFTING: An unknown suspect stole hundreds of dollars worth of liquor from Safeway, 15332 Aurora Ave. N.

DINE AND DASH: A customer at Denny's, 904 N. 155th St., ate and left without paying. 

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION: A suspcious vehicle was discovered in the parking lot of the Shoreline Motel, 16526 Aurora Ave. N., and the occupant was found to have a misdemeanor warrant, and had heroin, marijuana and fake crack. The person was arrested.
