Patch selected the following items for publication from Shoreline police reports dated Feb. 6-13.

Feb. 6

VANDALISM: Someone painted gang graffiti such as, “BGD CK Lincoln Park Bloods,” on walls and fences in the 18000 block of Meridian Ave. N. at Cromwell Park.

 DRUNKENNESS: A man was found by an officer passed out, laying in a car port in the 14800 block of Whitman Ave. N. after drinking too much high alcohol beer.

 Feb. 7

 FRAUD: An officer took a report regarding an adult protective services case alleging elderly financial abuse in the 300 block of N.W. 199th St.

 DRUNKENNESS: A drunk man forced his way into court at Shoreline District Court 18050 Meridian Ave. N.

 FRAUD: A woman in the 1100 block of N. 192nd St. reported that she responded to an e-mail sent to her husband regarding tutoring services and she believes that she is victim of a scam that defrauded her out of $2,550.

 CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: An officer pulled over a driver at N. 200th St. and Aurora Ave. N.  for failing to obey a light and expired tabs. Marijuana was found in his vehicle and turned in for disposal.

 Feb. 8

 SHOPLIFTING: A male person stole two 18-packs of beer from 7-11 at 16506 Fifth Ave. N.E.  and was last seen running northbound from the store.

 VEHICLE RECOVERED: An employee at Shari’s in the 15200 block of Aurora Ave. N. noticed a vehicle was in the parking lot for a long period of time. It turned out to be stolen out of Mountlake Terrace.

 SHOPLIFTING: Two people were cited for shoplifting at Costco, 1175 N. 205th St.

 MAIL THEFT:  Persons in the 19900 block of Dayton Ave. N. confirmed with both their employers and the Postal Service via a tracking number, that mail and a package delivered together were stolen from the doorstep.

 LARCENY: A shopper at Top Foods, 1201 N. 175th St., left her fanny pack unattended in her cart and an unknown suspect stole it.

 FRAUD: A woman in the 500 block of N. 166th St. noticed three unauthorized charges on her credit card while viewing her Washington State Employees Credit Union statement online.

 THREATS:  Someone threatened to kill someone in the 1900 block of 12th Ave. N.E. A no-contact order is in place. The suspect was gone when officers arrived.

 Feb. 9

 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Several young men snuck out of their residences in the 400 block of N.E. 185th St. and walked to Shoreline Stadium. They were released to their parents at the stadium.

 SHOPLIFTING:  Two people were cited for shoplifting at Sears, 15711 Aurora Ave. N.

 AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a 1994 gold Saturn SL 4-door in the late morning while the victim was showering in the 17500 block of Fremont Ave. N.

 LARCENY: Someone took a cell phone from the center console of an unlocked car while it was parked in a driveway of a residence in the 2200 block of N.E. 170 St.

 LARCENY: Someone broke a driver’s side window of a car parked at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 1315 North 160th St.

 SHOPLIFTING:  A man walked through Fred Meyer, 18325 Aurora Ave. N., with a coat draped over his shopping cart and attempted to steal merchandise.

 LARCENY: Someone broke a window in a vehicle in the 1100 block of N. 200th St. and stole items.

FRAUD: A woman in the 19900 block of 19th Ave. N.E. called police after finding out from the Department of Social and Health Services that her son’s social security check was being used fraudulently.

 DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A woman called 911 to report that two transients were sleeping directly in front of her business doors while she was closing up for the night. She could not open her door because of the two people who were drunk.

 Feb. 10

TRESPASS: Someone went into the school office at Kellogg Middle School and was agitated and began talking to secretary at the counter. He said he had pictures of trees with broken branches and holes in the wire fence. Police were called because he was perceived as being crazy and irrational.
