Shoreline Police Blotter: Cameras and Recorders Stolen in Center for Human Services Burglary

The following blotter items range from July 11, 2012 – July 14, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

July 11

VANDALISM: Someone tagged "MBK ROGUE" on the front gate of Hillwood Park, 19001 Third Avenue N.E. Police photographed and cleaned off the tags.

VANDALISM: An unknown suspect used black spray paint to tag the sign next to 1st Ave. N.E. at the Church of Christ between 2 and 7 a.m. A pentagram was painted on the sign.

STOLEN CHAIN SAWS: Someone stole two chain saws that were stored on a shelf outside a back door of a home in the 1200 block of N. 167th St. There is no fence blocking access to the back yard and anyone could have entered the area.

CHECK FORGERY: Someone stole bank checks from a mailbox in the 15700 block of Interlake Ave. N. and cashed one for $7,044.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspects made a forced entry through a sliding glass door and stole numerous items from the Tyee Apartments, 17200 Aurora Ave. N.

LARCENY: A woman's purse was stolen from a cubby hole in a classroom at Shoreline Community College where all the students store their belongings.

July 12

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: Someone cut themself with a knife in the 17800 block of Ashworth Ave. N.

BURGLARY: An unknown suspect made a forced entry into a house in the 1500 block of N.E. 185th St. and stole cash.

July 13

DRUNKENNESS: An drunk and belligerent guy passed out on a stranger's lawn near N.E. 155th St. and 8th Ave. N.E. and was sent for detoxification.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Suspect(s) kicked in the doors and took cameras and recorders from the Center for Human Services, 17018 15th Ave. N.E.

SHOPLIFTING SUSPECT TASERED: A shoplifting suspect resisted arrest after stealing boots at Sears, 15711 Aurora Ave. N., and was tasered.

July 14

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: An extremely drunk person refused to leave the Drift On Inn Casino, 16708 Aurora Ave. N. after being asked repeatedly by security.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Someone broke out a small window in a fire escape door near a stairwell at the Shoreline Free Methodist Church, 510 N.E. 175th St., rummaged through cabinets and took microphones but left items like instruments and computers.

VANDALISM: A female person in the 2300 block of N. 159th St. was upstairs in her bedroom when she heard two popping sounds out her driveway. She looked out her window and saw a heavy-set white man about 35 years old with a shaved head in driveway. The tires were slashed, probably with a knife with a one-inch blade, on three vehicles parked next to each other in driveway and street.

BURGLARY: Someone broke a window, opened a door, and went inside and stole money from a home in the 500 block of N. 195th St.
