Shoreline Council Authorizes Outside Legal Help in Ronald Wastewater Lawsuit

The council is expected to discuss the continuing case at its meeting Monday, July 29.

The Shoreline City Council authorized a contract for outside legal help in responding to and defending the city in the lawsuit brought by the Ronald Wastewater District.

The action at its July 22 meeting authorized the city manager to complete a contract for up to $60,000 with Kenyon Disend PLLC.

The lawsuit is over a 2002 agreement between the city and the district, which provides for the district’s operations to be unified with the city in October 2017, the city said in a statement July 24.
