New Lake Forest Park Mayor, Councilmembers Sworn-In

Mary Jane Goss, LFP's first woman mayor takes oath of office, as do Jeff Johnson, Tom French and Catherine Stanford

Lake Forest Park Municipal Court Judge Linda Portnoy swore in Lake Forest Park's new Mayor Mary Jane Goss, new Councilmembers Jeff Johnson and Tom French and re-elected Councilmember Catherine Stanford, Thursday night.

Goss, a real estate broker with Windermere, is Lake Forest Park's first woman mayor, and was elected along the three Councilmembers in November. The mayor's job pays $36,000 a year.

Goss, Johnson and French were all endorsed by LFP Gov Watch, a political committee that favors scaling back the city government, salaries and some programs.Β
