McClelland, Salomon Trade Barbs in Shoreline’s Spendiest Race as Election Heats Up

PDC reports reveal spending

Shoreline City Council Position 6 candidates and are trading barbs in an increasingly heated race, which continues to be the most expensive in Shoreline this election.

McClelland, a former Shoreline Planning Commissioner, and Salomon, an attorney, are vying for Councilman Terry Scott’s seat, which he is vacating after one-term on the Council. Scott has endorsed Salomon as his replacement.

While Salomon’s campaign sent out a mailer casting doubt on McClelland’s willingness to stand up to Point Wells developer Blue Square Real Estate based on comments she made while on the Planning Commission in 2009, McClelland has fought back saying her comments were taken out of context and that Salomon has only lived in Shoreline for two years.
