LFP Police Blotter: Woman Seen Drinking Coors Beer While Driving on Ballinger Way

The following blotter items range from July 23, 2012 – July 29, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

July 23

TREE CUTTING: A woman reported that a man was in a ravine near the 2600 block of N.E. 184th St. cutting a tree with a chainsaw. The man told police the tree had a crack in it and may be considered an unsafe tree. He stopped cutting the tree when police arrived. The officer provided code enforcement with information to check for tree cutting permits or to determine if a code violation took place.

ACCIDENT: A bicyclist crossing 175th St.  in the 17500 block of Ballinger Way N.E. with a green light was struck by a vehicle. The driver was looking to the left for traffic and did not see the cyclist. No injuries were reported and there was minor damage to the vehicle and major damage to the bicycle.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:  A woman came to the Lake Forest Park Police Department lobby to report being assaulted by her girlfriend in the 18700 block of 35th Ave. N.E. The woman had marks on her arm. There was a previous history of domestic issues between both parties.

July 26

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported in the 17000 block of Hamlin Road N.E.

DRIVING WHILE DRINKING: A guy called police to report a female driver in black older Honda Prelude was drinking from a Coors beer can and talking on the phone near Bothell Way N.E. and Ballinger Way N.E.

July 29

PHONE HARRASSMENT:  A person reported receiving hangup phone calls between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. the last couple days. The person believes it is possibly an ex-employee.

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported in the 16700 block of 41st Ave. N.E.
