LFP Police Blotter: Racial Obscenities Keyed Into Woman's Toyota 4 Runner

The following blotter items range from July 17, 2012 – July 22, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction

July 17

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone entered unlocked vehicles in the 19800 block of 31st Ave. N.E. the previous night and took a GPS and stereo face plate.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: A woman found a large stuffed bunny placed between her vehicles in her driveway in the 4400 block of N.E. 178th St. which had some words on it referring to pretty Asians, stating, "I'll always follow you #cutestazns." The woman was concerned about who might have put it there. The officer asked if the woman had any children and she said she had a 20-year-old son who also did not know who put the bunny there. An officer checked cutestazns online and found it to be a social networking site. The son said he was familiar with the site and uses it, but denied knowing who may have left the rabbit and the note. The officer advised him to be very cautious with who he communicates with on these types of sites. The officer advised the son and parents to contact the police if the activty continues.

BURGLARY: Someone burglarized a home in the 5100 block of N.E. 201st Place and took items.

SHOPLIFTING: Three females stole items from Sally's Beauty Supply, 17171 Bothell Way N.E.

July 19

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A woman reported that the hood and entire passenger side of her vehicle, a black Toyota 4 Runner, was keyed and gouged with racial obscenities while parked at Woodland North Apartments, 15000 block of 37th Ave. N.E.

July 20

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Three vehicles, a truck and two cars, were involved in a chain reaction collision in the 15700 block of Bothell Way N.E. A 48-year-old man, the driver of a Toyota Tacoma pickup, suffered injuries to his face, hands and knee. He was transported to the hospital and his truck was towed. The other two cars and drivers drove away from the scene. The driver of the truck was to be cited for following too closely.

HAZARD: A large tree that fell from the watershed took down a power line in the 18400 block of 47th Place N.E. Seattle City Light responded after power was out east of the location where the tree fell. No one was injured and no other property was damaged.

July 21

AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a grey 2000 Chevy Silverado pickup at Ballinger Estates in the 2600 block of N.E. 195th St.

PARKING ISSUE AT TOWNE CENTRE: A man who had parked his vehicle behind Great Harvest Bread called police after a man parked his vehicle within a foot of the reporting person's vehicle so he could not get in the driver's door. The other driver starting swearing at the man and took pictures of both vehicles. The other driver advised the man that he "parked like an asshole" for being so close to the line and then went into the bookstore, returned shortly thereafter and then left. The man who called police said the man did not make any threats or racial slurs. He was upset that the other driver, while rude, did not commit a crime.
