LFP Police Blotter: Loud Band at Party for Judges Told to Stop Playing

The following blotter items and information from Aug. 13, 2012 through Aug. 19, 2012 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction. Please note missing dates means nothing to report.

August 13

ASSAULT: A guy reported to police that he was physically assaulted the previous Wednesday in the 17000 block of Brookside Blvd. N.E.

TRESPASS: A resident of a home in the 19800 block of 35th Ave. N.E. stopped an officer to discuss something suspicious at his newly purchased home. The last owner keeps coming back and left a small sword stuck in the ground with a note from "Dan" saying he was paying his respects to "his dearly beloved." This was the gravesite of a loved one. No threats were made and the note said to "take the sword or leave it." The owner was advised to call 911 if he sees anyone return or in his yard.

VEHICLE STOLEN AND RECOVERED: Someone stole a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe from the 17300 block of Beach Drive N.E., which had been attached to a boat trailer next to a boat launch. The suspect(s) left the trailer. The Tahoe was later located at 18022 60th Ave. N.E. in Kenmore at 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 14 with no damage and both plates on. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

THEFT: Somoone stole the top of a Mazda Miata and smashed a window in the 1600 block of N.E. 195th St.

ANIMAL: A black pitbull chased a man's wife into their house in the 3000 block of N.E. 201st Place.

DRAG RACING: Two small coupes were seen drag racing near N.E. 165th St. and Bothell Way N.E.

August 17

HAZARD: An eight-inch diameter tree broke away from its stump on 40th Place N.E. near N.E. 186th St. and covered at least half the road. Police dragged tree from the roadway to the shoulder.

LOUD PARTY: A neighbor complained about a loud birthday party featuring loud music and loud talking in the 16900 block 26th Ave. N.E. The guy whose birthday  it was, said the party was finishing up and the music was turned off when police left.

August 18

LOUD BAND: Someone called to complain about a loud party with a band in the 18200 block of 35th Ave. N.E. The owner of the home and host of the party was reluctant to stop the party. He claimed the party was for the celebration for local judges in the area including two district court judges. The band stopped playing upon police depature. 

August 19

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A woman, possibly on meth, was standing in the 14500 block of Bothell Way N.E. crying, hoping, she said, to get hit by a car. People tried to get her out of the roadway but she ignored them. She was transported to UW Hospital for mental health evaluation.

THREATS: A man's ex said her new boyfriend from Seattle wanted to kill the man who lives in the 16000 block of 30th Ave. N.E. The boyfriend reportedly said he would burn down the man's house and kill his family and said he had gang ties in Lake City and would put a hit out on him and his family.  The ex came over becausae she was afraid for her own safety as well. Police advised that the man get a restraining order.
