Jealousy Played Role In Shoreline Shooting, Which Was Not Random Or Gang-Related

Detectives have name of a suspect but are not releasing the person's name

Jealously appears to have played a role in of early Wednesday, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

The identity of the suspect is known, the Sheriff's Office said, but the name of the person is not being released because of the ongoing investigation.

The shooting was not random or part of a gang conflict, said operations captain Scott Strathy of the Shoreline Police Department. It occurred about 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Richmond Beach Road outside the Maplewood Court Apartments on the border of the Hillwood and Richmond Highlands neighborhoods.

Tiana Montgomery, 17, of Lake Forest Park died at Harborview yesterday after shooting.

A vigil for the two victims was held last night at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park.
