Former LFP Planning Commission Member Mark Phillips to Run for City Council

A 22-year Lake Forest Park resident active on environmental issues, Phillips says it is an important time as the city begins the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan.

 

Mark Phillips, a former member of the Lake Forest Park Environmental Quality Commission and Planning Commission, has announced plans to run for the city council.

The 22-year Lake Forest Park resident also chaired the city’s Urban Forest Task Force, updating its tree ordinance and making recommendations for preserving forests.

Phillips said friends have urged him to run, and that it is an important time for the city as it begins to update it Comprehensive Plan.

Phillips’ history includes 12 years with the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group and five years at Shoreline Community College, where he worked improve manufacturing training programs.
