Sustainable Works Energy Efficiency Kick-Off Event

On Wednesday, March 30, Shoreline residents will have an opportunity to learn about SustainableWorks, a Puget Sound non-profit, which will be offering reduced cost energy audits and retrofits in Shoreline. SustainableWorks is partnering with City of Shoreline, Washington State University Energy Management, Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy and others to bring this energy saving opportunity to the City.

The purpose of this federal stimulus-funded program is to help home-owners and renters (with landlord approval) make home improvements that reduce their energy use and energy bills. Participants will be able to save on items like furnaces, air sealing, insulation and hot water heaters, reducing energy costs by 20 to 40%.

At the kick-off event, residents have the opportunity to meet the program’s partners, ask questions of SustainableWorks’ home auditors, and sign-up to have their homes audited for a flat fee of $95. Attendees will be entered into a raffle for a free home energy audit.
