Don't Forget to Register to Vote, Deadlines Approaching
If you want to vote in the November 2012 election, you must register by Saturday, Oct 6 by mail or Oct. 8 online.
If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.
Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.
The voter registration deadline for Washington is Oct. 6 for mail-in registration and updates and Oct. 8, 2012 for online registration and updates. The US Postal Service has confirmed that mail will not be processed or postmarked on Sunday, October 7, or Monday, Oct. 8. Registrations mailed on these days will be postmarked October 9. Registrations postmarked Oct. 9 do not meet the Oct. 8 deadline.
