Curious About Upcoming Link Light Rail? Open Houses Set
Sound Transit invites public comment and questions on the planned extension to Lynnwood.
Link light rail will be extended to Lynnwood, and now you can get a look at the potential impact of the route and station alternatives. Sound Transit has published its draft environmental impact statement and is hosting open houses and public hearings in the area this month.
Here’s a look at the schedule and some more detail, from Sound Transit’s site:
Sound Transit and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) have published the Lynnwood Link Extension Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for public, agency and tribal review and comment. The DEIS evaluates light rail route and station alternatives and describes the project's potential effects on the environment, nearby properties and transportation, as well as other impacts. The 60-day extended comment period ends September 23, 2013.
Sound Transit and FTA will host open house/public hearings at the dates and locations listed below. All meetings will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Stop by anytime to talk with the project team and submit your comments.
