CIty of Shoreline Will Plant Trees in Honor of Arbor Day Saturday, Nov. 17

City invites people to help plant 27 trees starting at 10 a.m.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, the City of Shoreline will plant 27 trees in honor of Arbor Day at the Park at Town Center located at 17500 Aurora Avenue, just north and west of City Hall along the Interurban Trail.

Traditionally celebrated on the second Wednesday in April, it has been over 135 years since J. Sterling Morton founded Arbor Day.

"His simple idea of setting aside a special day for tree planting is now more important than ever."

All are welcome. For more information contact Parks Projects Coordinator, Maureen Colaizzi at mcolaizzi@shorelinewa.gov.
