City Mini-grant to Help Fund Richmond Beach Halloween Carnival

Council approves $4,000 match for Richmond Beach Community Association event in last weekend in October

A neighborhood mini-grant for the Richmond Beach Community Association will help it put on its community Halloween Carnival the last weekend in October at Syre Elementary School.

The Shoreline City Council approved the $4,000 mini-grant at its Aug. 8 meeting. The grant will pay for equipment rentals—such as inflatables for kids—as well as facility and supply costs for the Halloween Carnival.

The association has committed about 900 hours in volunteer time as a match toward the project. The association also is matching $3,875 in cash for other costs.
