BREAKING: House Passes Same-Sex Marriage Bill

House Passes Same-Sex Marriage Bill

The same-sex marriage bill that was passed by the Washington state Senate last week has just passed in the Washington House of Representatives.

The bill is now on its way to Governer Gregoire to be signed. It passed in the House with a 55-43 vote.

The bill will allow same-sex couples to legally marry in the state of Washington. Opponents of the bill say that they will fight this legislation with a ballot measure, which will allow voters to overturn the decision.
