Ben Scheffler Hired as Shorewood Boys Basketball Coach

Scheffler replaces the retiring Marv Morris

Ben Scheffler is the new varsity boy’s basketball coach at Shorewood High School, according to the Shoreline School District.

Scheffler replaces Marv Morris who retired in February.  While at Shorewood for four years, Morris was able to restore the basketball program to a competitive level in WESCO.  Morris retires, achieving 300 wins in his career.

This will be Scheffler’s first high school head coaching position, but he comes to the Thunderbirds with an experienced coaching resume.  His coaching experience includes head coaching with top level local AAU programs and assistant coaching experience at three college programs, including Seattle Pacific University.  Scheffler also had a successful collegiate playing career at Seattle Pacific, and played prep ball at Roosevelt High School.
