Woman Involved in Fatal Shoreline Shooting is Released; Self-Defense a Possibility

A man in his 40s was fatally shot yesterday in 1600 block of 145th St.

A female suspect detained by police Thursday after a man in his 40s was fatally shot in the 1600 block of 145th St. in Shoreline has been released pending further investigation, said Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County Prosecutor's Office.

Her probable cause/bail hearing has been stricken from today’s calendar as investigators will continue to look into the possibility of self-defense.

The man who was initially also detained is not in custody either now.

Neighbors said an argument preceded several shots being fired and a man was found dead with wounds to his chest by police.
