Tough Fare: Woman Kicks Out Taxi Cab Window in Shoreline

The following blotter items range from Jan. 25, 2013, through Jan. 27, 2013. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

A woman reportedly kicked out a taxi cab window after she couldn’t pay a $70 fare in the 15500 block of Aurora Ave. on Jan. 25, according to Shoreline Police. Here are other selected incidents reported to police from Jan. 25 to Jan. 27.

Jan. 25

CAR STOLEN: An Acura was stolen from the Woodview apartment complex in the 1800 block of N.E. 205th St.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A suspect kicked in a door at a condo in the 1000 block of N. 192nd St. but fled when confronted by the resident.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: A burglary was reported in the 20300 block of 14th Ave. N.E., with entry likely through an unlocked back door.

Jan. 26

POT IN PARK: Four underage males were found in the women’s restroom at Hamlin Park, 16006 15th Ave. N.E., with beer and “in a cloud of marijuana smoke.” One was arrested on a warrant. The other three were charged with being minors in possession.

COLLEGE TRESPASS: A person was found to have put up a tent in a heavily wooded area at Shoreline Community College between the student union building and Greenwood. The person wouldn’t give a name to police.

GARAGE BREAK-IN: Someone broke into a garage in the 1200 block of N.E. 184th St. and tried to steal a 1966 Ford Thunderbird.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES: License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 1800 block of N. 166th St. and found on a different vehicle at Sea-Tac Airport. A different plate was on the victim’s vehicle that belonged to a stolen vehicle in Olympia.

BURGLARY: Someone entered an unlocked home in the 1800 block of N.E. 169th St., although nothing appeared missing.

IPHONE LOST: A person reported that she dropped her iPhone inside Fred Meyer and when she went to pick it up about 2 minutes later, it was gone.

Jan. 27

HOME BURGLARY: A big rock was thrown through a rear window of a residence in the 15900 block of 1st Ave. N.W. and items were stolen.
