Threats Reported at Costco Gas Pumps: Shoreline Police Blotter
Police also investigated a fatal heroin overdose at a private residence.
The following information is selected from Shoreline Police reports for May 21 to June 2. Where an arrest is noted, it doesn't indicate a conviction.
May 23
Larceny: A parked vehicle was broken into at Twin Ponds Park (15400 block of 1st Ave NE). The victim's credit card was used in Seattle.
May 24
Larceny: A car prowl was reported in the 15700 block of 1st Ave. NE. A passenger window was broken and items were stolen from inside the vehicle.
Larceny: Unknown suspects asked to use victim's cell phone outside the Chevron gas station at 15510 Aurora Ave. N and then ran off with it.
May 25
Auto theft: A Honda Accord was stolen while it was parked overnight on the street outside a home in the 17000 block of 1st Ave. NE.
Auto theft: A vehicle was stolen while parked in front of a home in the 15800 block of 10th Ave. NE.
Residential burglary: Tools were reported stolen from an unoccupied home in the 2600 block of NE 145th St. A window was broken to gain access.
May 26
Residential burglary: Multiple firearms were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of N 183rd St. A garden shovel was used to pry open a back door and break the glass.
Reckless endangerment: A heroin overdose was reported at a private residence in the 14500 block of 31st Ave. NE. Two suspects who allegedly lied about the circumstances surrounding the death were arrested.
Drug overdose: A female subject was taken to the hospital after she reportedly ingested too much meth, cocaine and marijuana and ran into Aurora Avenue.
Reckless endangerment: Officers responded to a home in the 17500 block of 5th Ave. NE, where a baby had possibly ingested a "small amount of crystal meth" that her father left on a coffee table.
May 28
Auto theft: A Nissan pickup was reportedly stolen from a parking lot in the 20000 block of 15th Ave. NE.
Assault: Officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the Petco parking lot on North 205th Street.
Mail theft: Mailboxes were pried open in the 500 block of N 197th Court, and mail was reported missing.
May 29
Marijuana: Police contacted a 17-year-old who was preparing to smoke marijuana in Hillwood Park. He was released to his parents, and the marijuana was confiscated for disposal.
May 30
Robbery: An unknown suspect with a gun attempted to rob the Gourmet Latte coffee stand located at 659 NW Richmond Beach Road. Click here for earlier story.
Drug overdose: A man was taken to the hospital after apparently overdosing on crack cocaine at the Shoreline Motel, 16526 Aurora Ave. N.
Fraud: An elderly resident fell victim to a "grandparent scam" and wired money to a suspect who called and reported to be grandson's bail bondsman.
Prostitution: Police investigated an incident of prostitution/pimping at the Aurora Village transit center.
Residential burglary: Guns and electronics were stolen in a daytime burglary in the 14700 block of 27th Ave. NE. Front door may have been left unlocked.
Public drunkenness: Police made contact with an individual who was intoxicated and passed out on the sidewalk near the McDonald's at 20227 Ballinger Way.
May 31
Arson: A small fire was set in a men's restroom sink at a city park at 16554 Fremont Ave. N. Suspect stolen mail was found in the women's restroom.
June 1
Threats: A male subject reported he was threatened with a knife by another individual over cutting in line at the Costco gas pumps.
