STOLEN VEHICLE:  Culprit(s) stole a car from a parking lot at Shoreline Community College, 16101 Greenwood Ave North.

DEATH INVESTIGATION:  A woman in the 17500 block of 5th Ave NE was found dead in her duplex.  The police entered the unit with the help of the property manager.  It appears the woman died alone.

LARCENY:  A student at Shoreline Community College parked her car in the green lot at the school.  She left the car to attend a class.  When she returned, she found that someone had smashed her rear passenger window.  It is unclear what was taken.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES:  Another car was stolen from a parking lot at Shoreline Community College; however, this particular victim was uncooperative with police.  There was some information brewing about the sale of the vehicle, however, the car was not transferred.  There is no further information about this case.

Is this repeated use of "bad man," "bad guy," "bad liar," "bad brother" (not to mention bad grammar) taken verbatim from the Shoreline Police Department reports, or is it Patchwork?

Editorial license is taken, which was in the case, and Tom you took note, which we hope you do. This person may not literally be bad and we say at the top that these reports do not indicate a conviction. The Shoreline police reports are initial reports, snippets really, and the full edited reports are available from King County, weeks or months later.

Both the House and the Senate must pass a bill within the same session to move on for the Governor'sRead More signature. After each Session/Special Session, all other bills are returned to the House of Origin and is technically in play, though not necessarily viable, until the next Legislature - in this case, the 64th Legislature in 2015-2016.

As an elementary student, the Pledge of Allegiance was part of the daily classroom routine. InRead More middle school, I only recited the pledge during all-school assemblies. I don't believe I was ever asked to recite it in high school. I am surprised to hear than middle school-aged students couldn't define those key words from the Pledge of Allegiance. Even if they hadn't been required to recite it in class, surely those words must have been covered on spelling tests (which, in my education, were also definition tests).
