Suspect Armed with Shotgun Robs 7-11

The following blotter items range from October 19, 2012 – October 21, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

 

On October 19th, a bad person armed with a shotgun entered a 7-11 store at 928 N 160th Street.  The bad person committed armed robbery close to 2:00a.m.

HIT & RUN:  A vehicle crashed through a fence and hit a tree.  The vehicle lost the fight to the fence and tree nearby the intersection of NW 145th Street and 3rd Ave West.  The person driving the crashed vehicle fled on foot.  Police officers found cocaine outside the vehicle after the car was abandoned.

WELFARE CHECK/MENTAL COMPLAINTS:  Shoreline Police received a correspondence from a property manager at 1313 N 200th Street.  The manager was concerned that a tenant was present with a young girl of “x” age.  The young girl was not registered to be at Lakehouse.

LARCENY:  Four vehicles were broken into with a “smash and grab” mentality at Shoreline Community College.  Each car had various windows broken by suspects who used the victim’s credit cards at various locations around Shoreline.

INDECENT LIBERTIES:  Park Ridge Skilled Nursing Center is located at 1250 NE 145th Street.  The center helps dementia patients.  A police officer took an incident report at roughly 3:40p.m. because one patient thought that another patient was being molested.

LARCENY:  A person in the 1500 block of NE Perkins Way believes his/her ex-roommate stole his/her two computer laptops.

REPEAT OFFENDER:  A person who has several moving violations was driving drunk in the 16600 block of Ashworth. 

MENTAL COMPLAINTS:  A woman in the 1700 block of NE 175th Street was very upset when her father passed away.  She made comments about how she wanted to die so that she could be with her family.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:  What began as a verbal argument between a girlfriend and boyfriend ended in a physical altercation in the 19900 block of Ballinger Way North.  While the report is not clear as to who choked whom; it is crystal clear that one of the two people definitely used their hands to choke the other person.

October 20

VANDALISM:  A man in the 3000 block of NW 199th Street continues to be pummeled by eggs that are tossed at his home and vehicle on a consistent basis.  The man has no idea why he is the target of relentless egging.

MORE THAN ONE CASE of FRAUD:  In both cases the victims were notified by their respective banking institutions by phone.  The respective banks told the people of suspicious activities on their credit or debit cards.  Also, in both cases the victims never lost sight or possession of their plastic cards.  The victims reported their stories from the following neighborhoods:

  • Victim A:  The 15300 block of Interlake Ave North
  • Victim B:  The 1600 block of NW 198th Street

AUTO THEFT:  A man reported that his car was stolen from the 14500 block of Phinney Ave North.

LARCENY:  A victim had his/her wallet stolen when he/she allowed a hitch-hiker to ride along from Seattle to Shoreline.  This incident happened nearby the intersection of North 155th Street and Stone Ave North.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS:  A man in the 2500 block of NE 147th Street was deemed a danger to himself and others.

STALKING/HARASSMENT:  An incident of stalking and harassment was reported at The U.S. Post Office in Shoreline.  The address related to this story is 17233 – 15th Ave NE.

LARCENY AT SEARS:  Someone tried to steal something from 15711 Aurora Ave North, The Sears store.  Police officers found out that the person had two outstanding warrants for misdemeanor thefts.

October 21

NON-INJURY ACCIDENT:  A man crashed his van inside Richmond Beach Park, 2021 NW 190th Street.  The van knocked over the sign.  The man tried to hide the sign he knocked over.  The man somehow lost control of his car on a non-public roadway; therefore, he received no ticket.

VEHICLE PROWLER:  A person broke a rear window of a car and stole a carrying case.  This incident happened nearby the 18100 block of Palatine Ave North.
