Stolen Car Driven Through School Fence and Set on Fire

The following blotter items range from October 2, 2012 – October 6, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

 

Burglary and vandalism are two words that best describe an incident on October 6, 2012.  Culprit(s) walked or drove to a garage door in the 18900 block of 10th Place NW.  After they entered the garage, the culprit(s) rummaged through one car.  A second car had the keys in the ignition.  The temptation was so great that they stole the second car, drove it through a school fence and ultimately, set the car on fire.

THREATS:  A woman in the 20200 block of 21st Place NW shared with police that she lives next to some neighbors who have an adult son.  The son has engaged in threatening and harassing behavior towards the woman.  Most recent allegations detail the son being drunk and throwing beer cans at the woman’s home in the early morning hours.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS:  A woman lives in a group home at 137 NW 185th Street.  It was reported to police that the woman tried to hit another resident with a glass.  Later, she went into the kitchen to create more mayhem by breaking some glass jars filled with spaghetti sauce.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES at KELLOGG MIDDLE SCHOOL:  A bullet was found by a teacher and cross country team in the load/unload area of a parking lot at 16045-25th Ave NE.

VANDALISM:  A mom and her son live in the 2000 block of 21st Place NE.  The mom found her son during the noon hour hanging out with his friends inside a vehicle in a parking lot.  An argument resulted from this discovery.  The son later kicked a hole in the upstairs wall of the apartment.

DUI:  A person was involved in an accident nearby North 200th Street and Aurora Ave N. The person blew a field sample of .174 and refused to take a second test. This individual had been drinking prior to the accident.

CRIMINAL WARRANT:  A fight broke out between two roommates in the 1200 block of NE 162nd Street.  The two people were drunk and/or high.  Upon arrival, Shoreline Police found out that one of the two had an outstanding warrant.  That person was taken into custody.

October 3

MINOR IN POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL:  A juvenile was found at Aurora Village Transit Center, 1524 N 200th Street.  The juvenile was in violation because he/she was under 21 and with alcohol.  The juvenile was trespassed from the Metro property.

FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT:  A man in the 900 block of N 198th Street punched and slapped his girlfriend.  The man and woman resided in the same apartment.

DUI:  A person in the 1800 block of North 145th Street was arrested for driving while drunk.  He/she refused to take the breathing test.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION:  Some persons were found in a parking lot nearby North 200th Street and Ashworth.  They were in possession of meth and heroin.  The police also found a pistol.

VANDALISM:  An incident that was more than likely related to road rage happened at Safeway, 17202 – 15th Ave NE.  Unknown persons tore a windshield wiper off of its mount and spit on a car windshield.

October 4

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER:  Someone obstructed a court deputy at Shoreline District Court, 18050 Meridian Ave North.

THREATS:  Someone was intimidating a public official at B&Y Auto Repair, 1116 North 165th Street.

FRAUD:  A man received an email stating that he won $30,000 from a Facebook promotion.  The winnings were truly false.  The incident happened at Fred Meyer, 18325 Aurora Ave N.

LARCENY AT FRED MEYER:  A woman was shopping at 18325 Aurora Ave North.  She was talking to several people on a number of occasions.  During a moment of distraction, it is believed that someone lifted her wallet from the top of her open purse and took the wallet for keeps.

LARCENY AT RICHMOND BEACH PARK:  Unknown suspect(s) at 2021 NW 190th Street broke into a car while it was parked in a public lot.  The bad guys stole bags and an Ipad.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS:  A person walked on a public roadway during the hours of darkness in the 17000 block of Aurora Ave North.

October 5

AUTO THEFT AT ECHO COVE CONDOS:  A woman in the 19400 block of Aurora Ave North told police that her car was taken from its assigned parking space.  She confirmed that she gave no person permission to use the vehicle.  Further, she attests that she has no lien on the car title.

VANDALISM at FIRCREST:  A sharp object was used to “key a car” in the parking lot of Fircrest, 15300 block of 15th Ave NE.  The vandalism read, “You can have her…fat a**.”

FRAUD:  An adult daughter who lives in the 1500 block of N 149th Court found out that a bad person used her Dad’s name to open up seven credit card accounts.  She found out about this injustice when she received a bill from The Discover Card Company.

October 6

VANDALISM:  A car in the 300 block of NW 199th Street was hit with half a dozen eggs.  There was no damage to the automobile.  However, this is the third time since August that the car was hit by eggs.  The car was parked in the driveway of a private residence.

NOISE DISTURBANCE:  A person in the 2300 block of NW 199th Street was observed by a police officer. The person was lighting off a large belt of firecrackers.  The person was given an initial warning.  Still, a few hours later the person set off more fireworks and revved up his/her stereo.  He/she was cited for a noise violation.
